Welcome to September!  We are so thankful for you and all you are doing to make this year run smoothly.  Thank you for those that are using our pick up and drop off zone, following the rules and for dropping off and picking up your student on time!  Everyone is doing such a great job this year.  Please keep remembering not to walk through the pick up and drop off lane.  Even if you are with your child you must use the crosswalk!

No School
Just a reminder that we will have NO SCHOOL this Monday!  Enjoy Labor Day and the extra time with your family!

Picture Day
Every student will have their picture taken on Friday before lunch, even if you choose not to purchase a package.  The picture packages are attached below.  We are using a new photographer and will no longer need to buy a full package in order to get class pictures or single pictures.

PTA Fun Day this Friday
The PTA is looking for volunteers Friday afternoon to help run outside activities.  Please respond to this post if you are interested and we will pass along your name.

Lost and Found
Our Lost and Found is growing!  We will be taking our first donation to Goodwill soon! Please see attached picture and let us know if these items belong to  your student.

Community Council Meeting
Our first community council meeting will be held September 16th at 3:30 PM.  Everyone is invited to attend!

As a reminder, please call the school  and inform Mrs. Peterson or Mrs. Nelson to let them know the reason your child is absent so we can excuse the absences.

Have a great weekend!  Enjoy the extra day off!

Weekend Food Backpacks, Operation School Bell and Shoes That Fit

Sometimes we all could use some help. Liberty participates in three programs to help our families that need a little support.  Participation last year does NOT automatically enroll for this year!  Please email cralston@murrayschools.org if you’d like to register for any of the following programs:

  • Weekend Food Backpacks:  Kids Eat program provides backpacks for students to take home on Friday.  The backpacks have shelf stable food that most children like and can prepare themselves.
  • Shoes that Fit:  Provides new shoes to school age children.
  • Operation School Bell:  Provides a new winter coat, as well as a pair of pants and shirt to elementary school age children.
