Here is a message from our principal, Mrs. Burnside, concerning Governor Herbert’s announcement that all K-12 schools will remain on Digital Learning through May 1.

Gov. Gary R. Herbert, and State Superintendent Syd Dickson, announced today that Utah’s K-12 public schools will extend their dismissal through Friday, May 1st. These entities will continue to evaluate the situation to make a determination about the remaining school year.

This means that digital learning will continue as it has until at least May 1, 2020. I am sure this news is unsettling to you, as it has been to me… it is hard to not have the normalcy and routine of a regular school day. I can assure you that we, as a Liberty Faculty and Staff, will continue to do our best to provide your child with a high quality, online curriculum. School will continue through Thursday of this week. On Friday, your child’s teacher will be emailing you home a progress report for the 3rd quarter.

Next week we will have have a much needed break. There will be no assignments during Spring Break. We will start back strong (online) on Monday, April 6th. Thank you for your support of our school and your child during this difficult situation. I would remind you to reach out to your child’s teacher, or myself at ANY time.

Thanks for all you do!
Mrs. Burnside
